The Social Picnic is a premium food and experience brand delivering handcrafted, locally sourced picnics and dining events across the Isle of Wight. Founded by Carter Williamson the brand is built on the belief that beautifully crafted, rustic food has the power to bring people together.

We were engaged to translate that ethos into a complete brand and digital presence: from the visual identity and tone of voice through to a fully built, managed e-commerce website capable of handling bookings, gift cards, and online checkout.

The Challenge

The Social Picnic needed to move beyond word-of-mouth and establish a professional digital presence that reflected the luxury, care, and personality behind every basket they prepare.

The brief called for a brand identity and website that could serve multiple audiences from families planning a day out to corporate clients and sailing crew, all whilst conveying warmth, quality, and the unique character of the Isle of Wight.

Crucially, the site needed to function as a real sales engine: enabling online bookings, gift card purchases, and easy navigation across a growing range of offerings including afternoon teas, BBQ boxes, and event styling.

Our Approach

We began with a deep-dive into the brand's story, values, and audience. Carter's founding vision became the conceptual backbone for every design decision that followed.

We developed a brand identity that feels both elevated and approachable: a refined visual language paired with a warm, confident tone of voice.

The website was then built on WordPress with WooCommerce, structured to serve distinct customer journeys without ever losing that sense of curated, personal experience.

With the site live, we transitioned seamlessly into an ongoing management role, maintaining, updating, and optimising the platform as the business evolves and grows.
